Tradition and Hepp's Win - Standings Tighten

Edina, MN - Hepp’s Salt continued their assault on the Dangle League field and posted a convincing 7-1 win to open a 3-pack of games from Braemar Arena.  Sandwiched between the two Dangle games was The Celly League Cup Championship.  Tradition Mortgage and Empowers Performance closed out the evening of hockey in Dangle League Action with a crisp game that saw Tradition pull away in the second half with a 4-1 win. .

Makayla Moran (Apple Valley) had a goal and three assists while Sophie Strammel (Rosemount) scored twice as Hepp’s Salt Co. were in sync to put away Performance Office Paper 7-1.  Tori Anderson (Edina) 2g, Cate McCoy (Edina) 2a, and Ella Pasqua (BSM) 2a, all tallied multiple points in the big win for Hepp’s. The 7-1 win for Hepp’s matches a league record for margin of victory– Hepp’s also beat Performance Office Papers 7-1 in their last meeting back on July 18. 


With the victory, Hepp’s Salt Co remains in first place in the Dangle League with 11 points and a 4-1 record. They will stay in first place regardless of tonight’s result with second place Empowers Performance. They will return to action on Wednesday August 7, when they face Tradition Mortgage at 5:30pm.

A win in the night-cap of the Dangle League produced by Tradition Mortgage tightened things up in the standings as two points separates 4th place Tradition from second place.  Lorelai Nelson (Edina) factored in all four Tradition goals with 1 goal and 3 assists.  Goalies Reese McConnel (Edina) 6 saves and Ashlynn Hazlett (Minnetonka) combined to yield just one goal against.  McConnel was credited for the win. 


Katya Sander (Holy Family), Teagan Kulencamp (Centennial/Spring Lake Park), and Hannah Grabinowski (Shakopee) all scored for Tradition who improved their record to 1-2-2 on the season.  


Regan Berglund (Hill-Murray) scored the lone Empowers goal.  Her team will be in action next Wednesday from Braemar Arena against Performance Office Papers at 6:55pm.  Tradition Mortgage will open next Wednesday’s action against Hepp’s Salt Co.the same night at 5:30pm. The duo of games could cause upheaval in the standings.  Hepp’s Salt Co. has secured first place going into the final regular season games.
