Performance Office Papers tops Tradition Mortgage

Edina, MN - The Dangle League is officially underway and the level of play did not disappoint Thursday night from Braemar Arena.  Performance Office Papers delivered a come-from-behind 4-3 shootout win over Tradition Mortgage in a riveting game.  Mackenzie Jones (Andover) scored the game tying goal with 1:09 remaining in the game to force overtime.

Before we could get to the shootout, Performance Office Papers erased a pair of two-goal deficits.  Tradition scored the game’s first two goals as Lily McKenzie (Champlin Park) scored on a rebound off Hannah Chistianson’s (Andover) shot.  Minnetonka’s Bella Finnegan opened the 2-0 lead and it seemed as though Tradition Mortgage was settling in and working to take control of the game.

Performance Office Papers (1-0) pushed back and were benefactors of Macy Rasmussen’s (Orono) first of two goals in the game. Lauren Mack (Minnetonka) and Jones also added an assist to her big night.  Tradition Mortgage (0-0-1) opened a two goal lead at 3-1 on Teagan Kulencamp’s (Centennial/Spring Lake Park) goal 7 minutes into the first half.

Performance continued to chip away and were rewarded on Rasmussen’s second goal of the game with 15:48 remaining in the second half.  That set up the Jones game tying goal with the net empty and the six-on-five working for Performance office papers.  Kendall Hassler (BSM) and Talla Hanson (BSM) assisted on the goal.

A five-player shootout featured Jones capturing the game winner.  Goalie Kayla Swartout earned the win in goal for Performance Office Papers.  The Dangle League will be in action next Tuesday night when Hepp’s Salt Co. and Empowers Performance do battle at 7:20pm from Braemar Arena.
