Delaney Miller's Four-Goal Night Powers Empower’s Performance Into Second Place

Braemar Arena – August 5, 2025

In the nightcap of a high-stakes Dangle League tripleheader, Empower’s Performance rose to the occasion with a dominant 4-0 shutout victory over a battle-tested Tradition Mortgage squad. The win vaults Empower’s into second place tie with Trash Panda with one regular season game remaining.

The star of the show was Minnetonka’s Delaney Miller (Minnetonka), who erupted for four goals in a sensational solo effort. Miller now leads the Dangle League with seven goals and is tied atop the points leaderboard with nine, matching Edina’s Audrey Davis.

Miller wasted no time putting her stamp on the game, scoring twice in the first half. She opened the scoring at 16:50 of the first, burying a feed from Riley Iverson (AHA). Just over nine minutes later, she struck again on a tic-tac-toe passing play with Maysie Koch (Dodge County) and Brooklyn Mauch (Marshall).

Empower’s kept their foot on the gas in the second. Miller completed the hat trick at 17:12 off a setup from Maddie Lee (White Bear Lake) and Iverson, then added her fourth goal of the night with 7:20 to play, again assisted by Lee. It was a complete offensive clinic from the standout forward.

Goalies Claire Hills (Andover) and Vivienne Anderson (Orono) shared the shutout for Empower’s.  Anderson was perfect on six shots in the first half and earned the win.  Hills stopped all 11 shots she faced in the second half, while. Together, the pair turned aside all 17 shots from a Tradition team playing its second game of the night.

Tradition Mortgage, coming off a hard-fought 4-2 loss to Trash Panda earlier in the evening, struggled to find their offensive flow against Empower’s. Despite a strong season from Chloe King (Holy Family)—who entered the game tied for second in league scoring—they couldn’t crack the Empower’s goaltending wall or slow down Miller.

With the win, Empower’s Performance now controls their destiny for a top-two seed heading into the Dangle League playoffs, set to begin Tuesday, August 12. Tradition Mortgage closes the regular season at 2-5 and will await seeding for the opening playoff round.
